We hope you have all enjoyed the gorgeous weather over the weekend. Most of the Charles Porter staff are suffering from sunburn and over indulgence from BBQ’s and glasses of fizz in the sun but it was definitely worth it.

The view from our office is lovely when the sun shines. I’m really hoping the sunshine lasts over the bank holiday weekend.

Sanctum Soho Hotel – an alluring haven of hedonism

I have just got back from a short break in London, staying at the very chic and exclusive Sanctum Soho hotel.

The rooms were incredible with amazing touches such as a huge free standing bath on a bed of glowing pebbles and a state of the art entertainment system!

The service was also top class – exactly what you would expect from one of London’s most desirable haunts. In fact, I loved the hotel so much I have negotiated some preferential rates for all Charles Porter clients so you too can experience the luxury of the Sanctum soho.

Voicemail Security

Setting a PIN

To prevent your voicemails being accessed if your handset is stolen please activate mailbox protection. To do this dial 901, press *, then 5 and select option3, you will then be able to set your own voicemail PIN.

Changing your PIN

To change your PIN dial 901, press *, key 4 and follow the prompts.

Blackberry Password

Protecting your personal data on your Blackberry is something we strongly advise, to do this follow the steps below:

1. Press the ‘Blackberry Key’ to bring you to your main menu
2. Select ‘Options’ (spanner icon)
3. Select Password
4. Change top line to ‘Enable’
5. Scroll to ‘Set Password’ and select
6. Type new password and verify by entering it again
7. Press ‘Blackberry Key’ and select ‘Save’

NOTE: This will not protect the media on your memory card such as images and videos

Passcode Lock Your iPhone

Protecting your personal data on your iPhone is something we strongly advise, to do this view the guide below:

Passcode Lock
By default, iPhone doesn’t require you to enter a passcode to unlock it.

Set a passcode
Choose General > Passcode Lock and enter a 4-digit passcode. iPhone then requires you to enter the passcode to unlock it.

Turn passcode lock off or change the passcode
Choose General > Passcode Lock and tap Turn Passcode Off or Change Passcode, then enter the current passcode.
